Just a reminder that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, a month that is near and dear to my heart, literally. I had breast cancer, and it will be 18 years this December 26.
PRAISE GOD, that he cured me and made me a survivor in the whole process. I know that He carried me alot through that year and a half. I heard the other day that 1 in 11 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year. That's way too many!! Remember that it does not discriminate , it can strike any age or race. I know that I sound like a commercial, but there are alot of women who are not as fortunate as I was. So do your exams and don't forget to wear PINK!!!!
This week at church our pastor talked about putting on the armor of God. I can tell you, I don't leave home in the morning without it. And some days I even ask Him to put on my "shoes of peace" EXTRA tight, since sometimes they can slip off SO EASILY!!!!!!
We have been so blessed lately in every area of our lives. Chad may have a job offer coming soon back in Florida. We have prayed about it and put it in God's hands(the best place to be ). Chad and some of the men from church took pizza to "our" football team Sunday afternoon,so he got a chance to talk to our player,Eric. He was so thankful for everything that we have done for him and then he told Chad that we were doing to much. I didn't think that Power-ade and snacks every week was too much. He is a good young man and also very humble. It will be fun this Friday night to go and watch them play. Maybe they can win 2 in a row!!!! GO BRUINS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On a more serious note, I would like to ask all of you to pray for my brother,Mark. He goes in for surgery on Tuesday, the 10th, to have 1/2 of his trachea rebuilt. I guess that it has been crushed for quite awhile now. He really doesn't even know how it happened . Thank you all in advance for your prayers.
I was reading that God has cast our sins as far from the east is to the west, which is a VERY long way. Then I heard a song by Casting Crowns that put it THE BEST WAY , "it's from one scarred hand to the other!!!!!! " How awesome!!!!!

I feel like I have abandoned by site for awhile, but no excuses. My husband, Chad was baptized last Sunday evening at church. What a great day!! He had been baptized when he was younger, but he felt like he really wanted to do it again now that he is older. I think he was 6 when he was baptized the first time. Our church, southflorencebaptist.org , is sponsoring the South Florence High School football team this year. "Our" player is a junior and plays on the offensive line. The team will be at church this Sunday so looking forward to meeting him and I pray that Chad and I will be able to be a positive influence on his life, if only for a little while. I 'm excited about it. After all, it's FOOTBALL season!!!!!

I was watching Prime Time last night and they had a story about the Mormon Church out in Utah. All I could do was to pray for them that will someday know the truth, the real Bible. Next week they are going to be talking to a guy who claims to be Jesus Christ, the man. Kinda creepy, but frightening. I saw a thing on this guy one other time and there are alot of people who believe him and follow him in all that he says and does. Can you spell " false prophets". It's really starting to get like Revelation says, but I know that we are only on the tip of the iceberg{what is left of them!!}. So much for that. I'm doing well, even though I found out yesterday that my hours will be cut. So after my 10 second thought of what are we going to do now, I filled my mind with the right thought thst God is in control and we will be alright. I know that my "Daddy" will take care of me. Have a great week and remember that God loves you!!

I had a great day today. I was cleaning out some drawers in the office when I came across a paper on A Positive Attitude. In it was a great story that I"m going to share. It's kind of a long read, but well worth it.
There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed that she only had 3 hairs on her head. "Well," she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today." So she did and had a wonderful day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and saw that she only had 2 hairs on her head. "H-M-M," she said, "I think I'll part my hair down the middle today." So she did and had a grand day.
The next day she woke up,looked in the mirror and noticed that she only had one hair left on her head. "Well," she said,"today, I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail." So she did and she had a fun, fun day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head. "YES!" she exclaimed, "I don't have to fix my hair today!"

Attitude is everything! Have a good day! Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle. Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly..............
YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!

Yesterday was friend day at church and there were alot of friends that came. PRAISE GOD!!
We had guest speakers at our morning and our evening services, Iris and Dwayne Blue. They gave their testimonies and they were awesome.. It only proves that God loves everybody and can use anybody to bring others to Him and to bring Glory to Him. If you ever get a chance to hear them speak, go and you will not regret it. It was also the day that my husband and I joined the church,South Florence Baptist Church. Check them out at southflorencebaptist.org
Every one there is so friendly and caring and they all LOVE JESUS. Hope you all have a great week, and remember that Jesus Loves You and so do I.
